Delete your account

A Vault Social account is the optional friends part of the Vault apps, including Beer Vault. Deleting it happens straight away and can't be undone. Your own log on your phone isn't touched.

From the app

Open the app, then Settings, then Friends, then Delete the account, and confirm. One account is shared by every Vault app you use, so deleting it from any of them deletes it everywhere.

What is deleted

Everything the account held: your handle, name and bio, your sign-in keys, your posts, ratings and comments, your reactions, your friends, requests and blocks, and any reports you made. Reports other people made about you lose their copy of what you wrote. Nightly backups of the service are kept for 14 days, so the account is gone from those within 14 days.

Nothing is kept for any other reason.

If you've lost your phone

If you signed in with Google or Apple, install the app on a new phone, sign in the same way, and delete the account from Settings.

If you saved your recovery phrase, install the app on a new phone, go to Friends, choose I already have an account, then Lost every phone?, type your handle and phrase, and delete the account from Settings.

If you have no phone, no Google or Apple sign-in and no recovery phrase, email me at hello@pikeworks.co.uk with your handle. The account has no email address or password, so before I delete it I'll ask you a few things only its owner would know, like the handles of your friends and what you logged recently. That stops anyone else deleting your account by pretending to be you.
